before you begin screens are representative for training purposes and may differ slightly from your role’s and system’s appearance. these instructions cover how to use the construction and materials™ module in support of tennessee dot processes; however, these are not instructions on the tdot requirements. you can access tdot’s qrgs on the left-hand side bar of the player by click on resources and opening the pdf file. to move from slide to slide, use the next and back navigation arrows near the progress bar. alternatively, you can press enter on your keyboard. some of the screens in this training have a scroll bar on the right side of the screen. the scroll bar will only work on the steps where scrolling up and down are part of the instructions.
overview – managing contract specific authority in this training, you will learn how to manage contract times. this training includes the following exercises: exercise 1 – adding specific contract authority exercise 2 – ending specific contract authority contract authority works in conjunction with other security features to give users the authority to access and change contract information. the contract authority tab on the contract administration summary component contains all the contract specific authority information that has been recorded for this contract.
exercise 1 – adding specific contract authority the contract-specific contract authority section on the contract authority tab contains a list of all the contract authorities that have been assigned specifically for this contract, listed by person (active and inactive). note: when logged on with a role that has the appropriate authority to assign roles, these fields will be available. in addition, the current user's role must have one of the following: contract authority for the specific contract, or office-wide contract authority for the administrative office associated with the contract, or all contract access. note: to add multiple users to a contract or to add multiple contracts to a user, go to the contract specific authority overview. to access this page, go to the construction component > contract specific authorities link. see managing contract specific authorities. note: a user/role can appear multiple times in the contract specific authority section, however only one row can be active at one time. the other would be historical rows. this describes the method to start specific contract authority access to the contract for a user. this example begins from the aashtoware project™ home page.
